2nd June: Art Yard Sale 2024

Excitement is mounting at Enter Gallery as we gear up for our favourite event of Brighton Fringe. That’s right – Enter Gallery’s Art Yard Sale is back!

From 11am – 5pm on Sunday 2nd June, Enter Gallery is bringing an incredible selection of leading contemporary artists to Jubilee Square in Brighton for an art market like no other.

This is your chance to meet your favourite artists and to snap up their work for very special Art Yard Sale prices.

In today’s blog, we’re revealing all the juicy details, so you’ll know how to make the most of one of Brighton’s best community art events...

Location

Enter Gallery’s Art Yard Sale takes place in Jubilee Square, right in the heart of Brighton’s North Laines. We’ll be taking over the entire square, nestled between Jubilee Library and Chilli Pickle.

CASH IS KING!

Entry to the Art Yard Sale is free, but if you wish make a purchase, you will need to bring cash with you to exchange for Art Yard Sale money. Please note: Art Yard Sale money is the only form of payment that artists will be able to accept.

It’s all very easy. Simply exchange your cash for Art Yard Sale money with Enter Gallery staff upon arrival at the event.

If you’re an Art Yard Sale pro, or have your eye on something specific, you can exchange your cash for Art Yard Sale money at Enter Gallery on Bond Street from 9am on the day. That way, you’ll be ready to rock the minute the Art Yard Sale opens!

Art Yard Sale Money is available in denominations of £5, £10, £20 and £50, and we always recommend exchanging more than you anticipate spending. This event draws big crowds, so changing up more than you might need will avoid you having to queue more than once.

Any Art Yard Sale money that you don’t spend will of course be fully refunded back into cash for you.

Get There Early!

To secure the best artworks, you need to arrive early. Early birds will have the pick of each artist’s stall, meaning they’re more likely to find the rarest pieces and the biggest bargains.

The sale opens at 11am on the dot. Every year, the queue of art lovers stretches around the block…so if you want to be at the front of the queue, get there early to beat the rush.

The Artists

We have a truly incredible line-up of more than 35 internationally-renowned artists appearing at the Art Yard Sale 2024.

The event will see the return of trusty favourites, including, Bonnie and Clyde, RYCA, Magnus Gjoen and Joe Webb.

We’ll also be welcoming some incredible names to the Art Yard Sale for the first time, including Babak Ganjei, Vintage Shuffle and Hello Marine.

Golden Opportunity

There are many reasons why our Art Yard Sale is one of the most popular art events in Brighton. Most notably, it gives art lovers the opportunity to meet the artists that they love, to snap up art that you won’t find anywhere else, and to secure incredible artworks for special prices that only happen on the day of the Art Yard Sale.

Each artist will have their own market stall stocked with their work. As well as creating new pieces that are exclusive to the Art Yard Sale, their stalls will also feature original artworks, rare pieces from their archives, small studies, clothing, ceramics and everything in between.

You can also expect plenty of fun and games! In previous years we’ve seen artists hand-finishing pieces on their stands, personalising artworks, or, in the case of artists like Haus of Lucy and Benjamin Thomas Taylor, holding raffles that give punters the chance to win a piece of their art.

Framing Offer

On the day of the Art Yard Sale, we will also be offering 20% off framing for any pieces that you buy at the Sale. Simply pop into the gallery on Bond Street on Sunday 2nd until 5pm to discuss framing options and to secure this discount.
