Yuya Hashizume Biography

Yuya Hashizume is a contemporary Japanese artist known for anime artworks inspired by the style of iconic manga artist, Fujiko F. Fujio. 

Hashizume's popular Eyewater series uses bold lines and flat planes of colour to capture adolescent subjects in moments of vulnerability.  

Through his work, Hashizume explores intimacy, the things that go unsaid, and 'the suppression of sadness in a hyper-paced world.'
